It's the subculture...

As a former addict to anime, I can tell you, I really don't hate it... but it's that damn subculture that gets me...

Anime is a great way of adding stylization to semi-realism, giving it a more aesthetic twist. The style itself hit its peak of quality around 5 or 6 years ago (When someone thought "HEY! I can add a THIRD level of light!) but like many things that could have become cool, it got too popular too fast (especially in western countries). The resulting atrocities scarred many a man's eyes for years to come.

Now every comic convention I go to reeks of broken lives and disappointed parents... Grown men and women pretending to be children... acting like they were in some fantasy world...

Please, help me to keep the comments open, because I know this is going to get a lot of rage.
